The 60 day DL needs to be relooked at again.
Here’s what one user said on discord: Back in 2017, when a player got a 60+ day injury, you'd put him on the 60 day DL and get a recovery cycle every 30-40 hbd days. The player's recovery was based on the team's medical budget and the player's makeup rating (exactly what the guide reads). However, because when a team's medical budget is 20 million and a player's makeup rating is 80+, a player could come back a better player than pre-injury. Many people dubbed this the "the medical bug". This only worked when medical budget was high AND when the player had a high makeup rating. Admin got sick of fielding complaints so they put a fix where longer-term-injuries received only one recovery cycle unless the player is still injured after the season ends. This was obviously an overcorrection. Even though the old system had some minor issues, it was ten times better than the current system. In the current system, if a player goes down with a 100+ day injury, it is near impossible for him to fully recover unless he's still injured when the playoffs end
