It has been a while since I played HBD but I believe durability works similar there, where it determines how quickly a player can recover.
In HD my request would be to make the in game penalty slightly less for playing players more, but then have their durability impact how quickly they can recover from being overplayed.
For example,
If i were to play a player on the tired fatigue setting, the next game he would start the game with his energy already below 100%. A higher durability player would start the game with more energy, a lower durability player starting with less.
Or to put it in a minutes perspective. If I have a player who can play 23 minutes per game and start the next game at 100%, if I play hit 28 the next game heβll start below 100% depending on his durability.
The impact in my mind from this is
higher durability players would have slightly higher value and be able to play more minutes
if you have a stretch where you have a game vs a really good team, followed by a game vs a bad team you may play your good players more vs the good team and rest them more vs the bad team.
for CT and NT games, a team that lacks depth can send their better players out longer in an attempt to pull an upset but will also be more prone to running out of steam as the tournament goes on.
