There is a bug that’s been here for a while in SimMatchup baseball where any user-created "Dream Team" playing in the HOME slot completely ignores its roster year and ballpark rules, automatically defaulting to pre-2022 National League rules (forcing pitchers to bat 9th) . Even when using a 2023 roster identity (like the Tampa Bay Rays) at an undisputed American League home stadium (like Tropicana Field), the engine disables the DH. However, when playing in the AWAY slot against an AL team or a post-2022 NL team, the universal DH correctly works.
TLDR: Using dream teams of AL teams (and post 2022 NL teams) default to pre 2022 NL rules no matter what at home.
