Announced DITR (diamond-in-the-rough) or resetting/clarifying potentials after non-conference play of scholarship players in their first collegiate year would add a dynamic aspect to the player pool. It may persuade coaches to sign more scholarship players. The potentials could impact disproportionally players under a certain rating to boost non-Top 100 players.
The current scouting model is unrealistic to believe that potentials are static from HS. The current model is unrealistic for there are players underscouted or have late growth spurts or just simply develop into really good collegiate players as upperclassman.
