Theme Leagues Hard to Find

The most enjoyable leagues on the site (and the ones where a new user would have the best chance of finding success, due to equalizers like draft lotteries) are the theme leagues found in the forums. However, these aren’t intuitive to find, and most users who use them have reported that it took them months to discover (and that they had almost left by then)

In addition, when you click “start a new team,” you are shown a different set of theme leagues (for some reason there are ones advertised in the classified forums, and then ones available on display in the start a team page), and all of these are leagues that are “dead.” They have 23 open spots and say things like “come try the new 2018 season players!,” which makes new users think the only active way to play are open leagues. Open leagues aren’t very friendly to newcomers, as a few veterans have already solved the problem and are winning constantly with closes of Curry and Rodman.

I propose that the theme league list in “start a new team” be replaced with a link to the forums and a quick blurb about how users organize and draft leagues on the forums. I believe it will lead to user retention and a better experience.
